(TIFFIN) – The Gillmor Charitable Foundation is proud to announce a recent donation of $5,000 to the Tiffin Community YMCA Recreation Center, which assisted with funding of a playground for the children at the center’s daycare facility. 

The center had recently moved its daycare program to the YMCA facility from an off-site location, and did not have close access to a playground for children until local donors stepped in. The Gillmor Charitable Foundation, the Tiffin Community Foundation’s Youth Advisory Council and the Lowes Heroes Program all helped fund the playground, which was developed on an unused landscaping plot.

In addition to receiving local donations, the project was a true community-wide collaboration as multiple local community leaders and volunteers, including the Tiffin-Columbian football team, stepped in to assist with the installation of the new equipment.

The playground was $25,000 project total, that now provides convenient and fun access to the children of the daycare facility.
