Early Days
Paul Marshall Gillmor was born on Feb. 26, 1911 to Clarence and Gladys Elizabeth (Speller) Gillmor. He graduated from Old Fort High School in 1929 and attended The Ohio State University.
Lucy J. Fry was born on January 10, 1911 to Howard and Bessie (Baker) Fry. She graduated from Old Fort High School in 1929.
Childhood sweethearts, PM and Lucy married on January 20, 1934. The couple were lifelong residents of Old Fort, Ohio.
Lucy worked at the Old Fort Banking Company under the direction of her father, Howard J. Fry, while PM established the Paul M. Gillmor Trucking Company, which he later sold to Matlack in 1956.

Easter 1955
The couple had two children, Paul E. Gillmor and Dianne Gillmor Krumsee.
Congressman Paul E. Gillmor passed away on September 5, 2007. His dedication and service to the Ohio Fifth District will not be forgotten.

Elected Chairman of the Board in 1969
PM was elected to the Board of Directors of The Old Fort Banking Company on March 25, 1941. On January 16, 1969 he was elected Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Gillmor stepped down from his position as Chairman of the Board of the Old Fort Banking Company and Gillmor Financial Services, Inc. on April 16, 2004, and was elected Chairman Emeritus until his passing on April 13, 2005.

Paul and Lucy celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary, January 20, 1984
The Gillmors worked together over their 50 years of marriage to make an impact not only in Old Fort, Ohio, but in and around Seneca and Sandusky County. They were especially proud to support area youth sporting programs and the local Boy Scouts. They also contributed to area school districts and universities to enhance the facilities and curriculum.
